Your opportunity to get it right

from A Digital Journal · host Nafisa Amin

Do you know what month we’re in? 🤭Do you know the Islamic months? Welll we’re actually in a sacred month! Dhul Q’idah! In this episode Nafisa shares what she’s learnt about sacred months, how we can use this month as a time to actualize the better versions of ourselves we wanted to see right after Ramadan. Having had a dip in shawwal , where our bodies even physically could not do what we did in Ramadan, we rested and recharged and what better motivation than a sacred month where good deeds are amplified to make the most of and become the better versions of ourselves!!!🤗🥹Alhamdullilah! Listen to the episode for all the reflections May Allah allow for you and I to make the most out of these sacred months!(*****IMPORTANT POINT TO NOTE , Allah can choose to forgive one but in their record the sin is still there but it’s also written that Allah has forgiven it, then there’s a next level that Allah decides that the sin be wiped out from the record completely and then there’s next level could be that if Allah wills he makes that the sin is infact turned into a good deed)————————————————————————————“So there are four sacred months, Dhul-Qadah, which means the month to sit. You sit back, you do not fight, you do not engage in any type of warfare.Dhul-Hijjah is the month in which Hajj is, so there used to be a reiteration of Hajj in the Islamic Days. There is Muharram, which means forbidden. It is the beginning of the year, so it's forbidden. And then there's the month of Rajab, which is the only month that is not in succession, that does not come in succession. And Rajab means to remove and refrain. So you would remove your weapons, and refrain from fighting somewhere in the middle of the year.”-Yaqeen YouTube and newsletter on dhul hijja and the sacred monthsImam Tom’s Atomic Habits seriesQuran 9:36 - verse about the twelve months written in Allahs Record from the day he created the heavens and the earth, of them four are sacred.

The move towards more renewables in our energy systems complicates matters even further, requiring the development of an integrated power grid and continuous and steady transformation of the UK power system. Network flows must be managed reliably under uncertain demands, uncertain supply, emerging network technologies and possible failures and, further, prices in related markets can be highly volatile. Mathematicians working with engineers and economists, can make significant contributions to address such issues, by helping to develop fit-for-purpose models for next generation energy systems. These interdisciplinary approaches are looking to address a range of associated problems, including modelling, prediction, simulation, control, market and mechanism design and optimisation.
