Your own fire hydrant    Dotting the city streets, sometimes yellow or red Handy hydrant plugs keep those fire hoses fed Providing you with security and if it gets too hot  They might open one to create a cool down spot And speaking of Spot, traditionally dogs lift their legs  Or they get hugged by a drunkard sunken to the dregs The fire hydrant gets no respect from cartoon’s either  Mr Magoo runs over one and I laugh until I need a breather The poor thing though. It’s main job and purpose is to save To try to keep your valuables safe, and to save you I’m finding that I share a lot of those traits too I don’t know why but I still want to keep you safe But the rest of the stuff is really starting to chafe  Your own fire hydrant wants a new coat of paint and a fence Keep Spot at bay and he also humbly requests your presence  Signed your own fire hydrant, the beat up old plug Remember, no pee, presence and a great big hug Tim Windisch 06/30/2023
