Your small business accounting questions answered with Xero

from The Emily Osmond Show · host Emily Osmond

I’ve been having lots of discussions with my community recently about investing in accounting software, and whether it’s an expense they can afford. This often comes after they share the all too familiar stories about staying up to the early hours to sort out their books and not really knowing how profitable their business actually is. After regularly spruiking the tool that I’ve used from day one in business, I knew I wanted to ask someone from the company to come onto the podcast and do the talking. Xero is small business accounting software born out of New Zealand in 2006, now with 2 million users across 180 countries. It allows us to be on top of our numbers at any given time, helping to inform our business decisions, saving us time and stress, and ultimately thrive. Joining me on this episode is Angus Capel, the Small Business Advocate at Xero. We chat about how freelancers, brick and mortar stores, ecommerce businesses and more can leverage accounting software to excel in their businesses, the biggest trends and opportunities he is seeing across the board right now, and his top accounting tips for small business owners.
