Your Story Matters with Lucie Kavanagh

from The Sharon Fitzmaurice Podcast · host Sharon Fitzmaurice

This week's guest is Lucie Kavanagh from Ballyhaunis, Co. Mayo. Lucie will share with us how mental health difficulties brought her role as a social care worker to an end and how this affected her whole life.  Lucie is so very open and honest in how She felt at the time of her diagnosis and realised she needed support.  It takes great courage to speak so openly about your own struggles in life, but in doing so she may help someone listening to know that they are not alone and there is a way forward. Lucie now boards dogs at Maisie's Home and has a great love of writing and art, she volunteers for a local animal rescue and is an Ambassador for  SEE CHANGE  - which exists to reduce and eliminate stigma associated with mental illness in Ireland. You can find Lucie on Twitter , Instagram & Facebook This is a public episode.
