Your Superpower of Resilience: Is It Empowering You to Thrive or Pushing You to Just Survive?

from The Authenticity Coach · host Wendy C. Schult

Resilience is an extraordinary superpower. But are you using your resilience to empower your forward-moving thriving or to endure an ongoing miserable surviving? Healthy resilience supports recovery. It allows you to regain your energy & enthusiasm in order to be ready for what is next. Healthy resilience does not strengthen our coping skills to be able to return to the same harm again & again. Nor does it build defensives & barricades so that we can retreat from all new risks. Learn to distinguish whether your resilience is bolstering you to adapt to necessary, expansive change or forcing you to contort to "fit" where your values are not aligned. Gain awareness of the ways in which you participate in the difficulties that crush you & become able to identify what you have learned from the experience. Understand where to focus your efforts to further develop a healthy resilience. Learn to tap into the productive power of resilience to build a life that you can enjoy -- not just endure.
