Your trauma isn't my trauma... No excuses! | Kevin Brewer | Rise Again From The Struggle

from Rise Again From The Struggle · host Kevin Brewer

Your trauma isn't my trauma... I heard this clip today stating we have to remember people deal with things different, so we have to effectively pander to them. I disagree. In fact, I believe the opposite is true. This seems to be a theme of society now. You get to tell me what issues you have, so I have to work around those issues. No. It's not my job. You need to work on your issues at your own expense, not mine. I need to get a job done or live my life. There's no part of that where processing your emotions is my responsibility. Remember, showing constant emotion isn't being emotionally intelligent. Being able to process those emotions internally so you can be a healthy and productive member of society is emotionally intelligent. All of these things in life are skills that can be learned. So do some self- development and put in the effort to learn them! No excuses! Kevin Brewer Rise Again From The Struggle #veterans #military #weightloss #eatright #mentalhealth #mindsetcoach
