Phil talks with Chris Kaergard, president of the League of Women Voters of Greater Peoria, about the upcoming Voting Rights Day of Action on Saturday, Aug. 8, from 11 a.m.–12:30 p.m. at the Lincoln Branch of the Peoria Public Library. Hosted in partnership with the NAACP and local community leaders, the free event celebrates the anniversary of the Voting Rights Act of 1965 while encouraging civic participation.
