And God said, Let there be light: and there was light. 4. And God saw the light, that it was good: and God divided the light from the darkness. INSPIRATION: The warning to speak with caution and not heap up calamity on one's self is beyond a call to affirmative action. It is the language of the spirit. We do not speak according to the reality around us but by the realisation that a revelational word holds more weight than our realities. If this wasn't true, God would never have commanded us thus: "Let the weak say I'm strong," (Joel 3: 10). That is to say, you should not speak negativity, no matter your present condition. Negative speaking only reinforces defeat. It legitimises negative domininance over your life. God refused to focus on the formless and dark earth at creation (Gen. 1: 2). He used words to reorder a chaotic world. Words are powerful; they either create or destroy, depending on how you use them. The Bible says, "‭‭You have been trapped by what you said, ensnared by the words of your mouth" (Prov. ‭6:2‬ ‭NIV‬‬). Many people have been caught in the entrapment of self-deprecation, which has made them lose the battles for their lives and yielded its control to all kinds of negative manipulations. Do not use your mouth to reinforce negative trends. Do not become someone who forecasts bad news or amplifies evil report, some which we unconsciously personalise. It is a trap! TODAY'S TAKE HOME: ‭‭You can create and shape your world by the things you say. Mind you, your mouth only echoes out what's in your heart. Therefore, voice only positive things. PRAYER: O Lord, I refuse to entertain or be trapped by negative words in my mind. I will not give voice and legitimacy to words that destroy my future and ensnare me. My heart is pure so only positive words proceed from my mouth henceforth, in Jesus name.
