“You’re capable of doing anything you want to do” - Katie Griffith

from Wears My Podcast · host WMTV LDN

For this weeks episode we were joined by Katie Griffith, a young designer from Wales who has moved to London to fulfil her dream of succeeding in the streetwear space. As you’ll hear in this episode, Katie has already achieved a lot in her short career so far. She has founded the womenswear brand Ffith - with the acronym standing For Females In The Hustle, and has quickly built up a cult following of like minded women who resonate with the brands message! Having studied Fashion Promotion and Marketing in University, Katie has used the skills she picked up from there and her career in buying alongside her desire to design, to help create an aesthetic and brand that appeals to all different types of Women. With Katie being quite early on in her journey, we made sure to discuss what it was like starting up Ffith alongside her goals for the brand; which provided a great insight into how Katie taught herself to design with the help of YouTube! We made sure to discuss Katie’s desire to be successful in a space that many would consider to be male dominated. She gave her insight on why she thinks this has been the case and what we can all do to help change this. Since filming, Katie has gone on to release great collections! With one even being digital, for females hustling in the metaverse haha! Make sure to follow Ffith on their Instagram page and follow Katie on her personal Instagram to see some behind the scenes of her shoots as she documents her journey. Thank you for listening, catch the visual for the episode on our YouTube channel and make sure to follow our instagram to keep up to date with the goings on in UK fashion.
