It came from the Album “Whitney” released in 1987. I remember hearing it maybe once or twice on the radio. It sounded like a number one hit to my ears. I had faith in the song. I never heard a ballad quite like that one before. For some reason, I heard other songs on the Whitney Album more times than I heard “You’re Still My Man”. That’s how it is sometimes, and in those days, if you didn’t buy the album, sometimes you didn’t hear some of the songs because not all songs were played on the radio. And then again, depending on the radio station, sometimes all the songs on a album were played.Most songs on Whitney’s album were played except two or three I don’t remember. You’re Still My Man was played, and I think it should have been played more. I don’t recall Whitney performing “You’re Still My Man” whenever she appeared on television. She could have in concerts, but I have never been to any of her concerts.You’re Still My Man is an uplifting song for a man missing a woman that he’s apart from.
