You're Wrong About Sim Racing

Some love it, some hate it. You’re probably doing at least part of it wrong, even if you’re good at it. Twenty years ago, INTC co-host Ross Bentley was a beta tester for the original version of iRacing, the world’s largest online racing sim. Today, he’s logged thousands of hours of sim coaching for “real" race drivers both pro and amateur. And he’s learned a lot along the way. This started as a simple 101-level chat between Sam and Ross about sim technique. By the end of the show, they’d gone down the rabbit hole with everything from stupid dad jokes to how people learn and Ross’s experience using sims to coach a rank amateur onto the podium at a real-life Le Mans. “Bah!” you say. “I like real cars!
