Composed for a long time friend who just came out as a trans-woman close to age 50. While waiting for it to upload I got the news that #DavidBowie had just died. *my source of musical strength & courage for many, many years* It speaks to dipping your toe in the offer of safety, for merely becoming "acceptable, respectable and beige" in return, but turning away to continue down the path of "Other". Weary, not knowing how it may end, yet fully sure it will lead to an authentic life, well lived. Because what is Paradise really?
