Youth Synod echoes Saint Paul VI's vision of Church as a 'Living Mother'

Bishop Mark O'Toole, Bishop of Plymouth, looks back at a weekend that saw the Catholic Church welcome seven new saints. Among them Archbishop Oscar Romero of El Salvador and Pope Paul VI - who promulgated the reforms of the Second Vatican Council. As the Synod of Bishops on 'Young People, Faith and Vocational Discernment' reaches its half-way mark, Bishop O'Toole believes the on-going discussions breathe life into St Paul VI's description of the Church as a 'Living Mother'.
