What are “youthful passions”? (2 Timothy 2:14-26) Paul is speaking about passions that influence believers of any age, though there is a reason young people are specifically warned about these things. It’s about the life we are building, the things we are pursuing and taking into our hearts with particular future in mind. These are the things that we are excited to spend our energy on because of how they benefit us, and while they are not all “bad” things, it matters which altar we pour out our lives on.
