YOU'VE GOT A FRIEND IN ME: Week 3

We all can fall into this trap of viewing ‘friends’ as leftover fragments from our youth. We think of friendship as a first-half-of-life focus. And obviously, now that we’re actual adults, we’ve got to get on with more ‘grown up’ priorities like a career, investments, marriage & children. But, truth be told, a friendless life isn‘t all that fulfilling. It leads to what sociologists have come to call a ‘loneliness epidemic’. It’s impossible to live life to the fullest without a small circle of close friends—regardless of who you are or how old you are. So, how do we shift friendship from something we see as optional to something we see as essential? From something cute for kids to something crucial for us adults too? That’s what we’ll be talking about during these next 4 weeks… looking at different aspects of friendship.
