from Yoga Teachers Talking Yoga · host Yogi Paul
Send us Fan MailHello and welcome to the Yoga Teachers Talking Yoga podcast! In this series of interviews, we talk to yoga teachers. We find out what got them into yoga, why they became teachers, how they got started, what styles of yoga interested them, who their inspirations were and finally what their plans are going forward. Today my guest is yoga teacher Imasha Silva, founder of Sati Yoga.Based in Sydney, and inspired by the meditation she saw practiced in her native Sri Lanka, Imasha has developed a longer, slower form of yoga. With classes up to 2 hours long, she provides space for her students a depth of practice to allow full immersion and relaxation.Note: References in the discussion to the IYTA relate to the International Yoga Teachers Association, a forerunner of yoga in Australia. For 57 years, they taught and supported yoga teachers across Australia. Sadly, the IYTA ceased its operations in 2022.Related links:Sati Yoga: https://www.satiyoga.com.auIf you’d like to express an interest in being a guest in our next series, we can be contacted on: [email protected] related content and bonus material will be posted on our Facebook page: Yoga Teachers Talking Yoga Podcast
