對於世間的宗教而言，佛法的唯一立場是：教法的內容是否切合實際？至於人們選擇相信什麼，則屬於個人之事，佛法不排斥眾生，是故，佛法不排斥其他宗教。 釋迦牟尼佛的教法是以「緣起法」及「四聖諦」為樞軸，以「務實、科學、人本」為準則，強調務實、實證、實際，著重解決問題、解決煩惱。 每一種宗教都具有大慈大悲的精神，這一點無須再加以強調，需要特別重視的反而是教法的內容，究竟是否對人們有幫助。佛法提供世人解決人生問題的方法，不須要強調慈悲卻已經就是慈悲！
