Yuba County 5 - The Disappearance

On a cold winter night in 1978, five men from Yuba County, California traveled to nearby Chico to see a UC Davis Aggies basketball game. None of them returned. What should have been a quick road tripturned into a mystery that has lasted for over 40 years. Their car was found abandoned 2.5 hours away in the opposite direction that would have taken them home. Their disappearance has baffled law enforcement for decades and the mystery has never been solved. In this first of a three-part series, I'll be telling you a little background on the missing men, as well as discussing the disappearance itself. Were they lost? Were they kidnapped?
