התוכן ענין ה"טבילה", שהאדם מתכסה בכל גופו במים, בעבודה, הוא, כמ"ש ברמב"ם, שהאדם "טובל" כל מציאותו ב"מי הדעת הטהור" והוא מתבטל ל"ניצוץ בורא" שבו‏ – ‏ "טבילה" אותיות "הביטל"‏ – ‏כמו נבראים שבים וכו'. והנה "מעיין מטהר בכל שהוא": מים שמחוברים בגלוי במקורם מטהרים, אפי' מטומאת מת, ב"כל שהוא", ובתנאי שכל גופו מתכסה בהם [ובמחשבה עיונית ניתן לצייר זה וכו']. ובעבודה: כשהאדם "מתכסה" לגמרי ב"דיעה" כזאת שהיא מחוברת בגלוי באלקות, ואין שום דבר המפסיק ביניהם‏ – ‏לא אכילה ושתי' ולא מסחר, ואפי' לא לימוד התורה באופן שמרגיש כאילו הוא מצליח בזה בכחות עצמו ואינו צריך את ברכת ה' וכו'‏ – ‏יכול אפי' "כל שהוא" מ"דיעה" זו לטהר אותו מטומאה הכי חמורה ולהעמיד אותו במצב של "לפני ה' תטהרו" [כמ"ש בשלישי דפ' אחרי]! וזהו הענין של פנימיות התורה שאפי' "טיפה" ממנה יכולה לטהר אותו וכו'.משיחת פורים ה'תשי"ז ל"הנחה פרטית" או התרגום ללה"ק של השיחה: https://thedailysicha.com/?date=20-04-2026 Synopsis As the Rambam writes, immersion in a mikveh, where a person is entirely covered by water, represents the immersion and nullification of one’s entire being in the “waters of pure knowledge” (as alluded to in the fact that טבילה is comprised of the same letters as הביטל). Regarding immersion, the law is that a spring purifies even in the smallest amount. That is, water that is openly connected to its source purifies a person from even the most severe form of impurity (contact with a corpse) and with even the smallest amount, provided that one is entirely covered by it (theoretically, a single drop can be thinly spread over one’s entire body). In terms of divine service: when a person is completely immersed in an awareness that is openly connected to G-dliness, with nothing intervening between them (neither eating and drinking, nor business dealings, nor even Torah study when one studies with the feeling that his success results from his own abilities rather than from Hashem’s blessing), then even the slightest measure of this awareness can purify him from the most severe impurity, and then “before Hashem you will be purified” (as the verse states in shelishi of parashas Acharei).
