Similarly, being a “shining lamp” in general applies even to married people who have left the confines of the yeshiva; now they are considered “domesticated animals” (“who sleep in the city”), because when it gets “dark,” they return home… (2) Everyone (especially the married people, who are involved in worldly matters) must work to instill within themselves the recognition that nothing exists other than Hashem and Lubavitch (the teachings of Chassidus, and Torah in general), a reality that will be revealed in the future. (3) With regards to studying for semicha: The bochurim should obtain semicha before marriage (following the custom of the Beis HaRav as revealed by the Rebbe Rayatz). Similarly, married people who are suited for it should pursue semicha as well.
