Seemingly, why is it called Hilchos Beis Habechirah (“Laws of the Chosen House”), and not “Hilchos Beis Hamikdash,” in accordance with the verse (the source of the obligation to build the Beis Hamikdash), “They shall make Me a Mikdash”? The answer is that “Beis Habechirah” emphasizes that Hashem chooses this house from all other houses, and that it is upon us to bring holiness into all other houses, to the point that it could be said that that the Beis Hamikdash is chosen from among them.
