התוכן מזמור ק"ט בתהלים הוא מזמור קשה, "אַ שטריינגער". ובמילא ה"ז חל על הענינים שיכולים לנגוע ח"ו בהפצת עניניו של בעל יום ההולדת והגאולה. אמנם בודאי שיש במזמור זה גם עניני טובה וברכה. בפסוק ל' נאמר "אודה ה' בפי ובתוך רבים אהללנו": "אודה ה'" – הודאה וברכה לה' מכיון שנותן לכאו"א מישראל טוב הנראה והנגלה בגו"ר, ובאופן של "מאוד". "בפי" – ההודאה באה לידי ביטוי בדיבור, בפה, שמנצל כח הדיבור להודות לה'.
