התוכן משל של כ"ק מו"ח אדמו"ר על חסידות: מרגליות נמצאות בקרקעית הים. גחלים, שהם מאירים ומחממים, נמצאים בעמקי האדמה. והסדר הוא שצ"ל א' שהוא המנהיג, והוא מראה היכן לחפור ואיך למצוא את הגחלים. והנה על חכמתו של המנהיג יכולים העובדים לסמוך אלא שעליהם למלא את ההוראות בדיוק. אבל על הרוח-חיים שהם צריכים כשהם נמצאים בעמקי האדמה, לא יכולים לסמוך על הרוח-חיים של המנהיג, אלא לכל עובד צ"ל רוח-חיים בעצמו ע"י שמחובר עם האויר שמעל האדמה. ומסיים: שהנמשל מובן לכ"א - חסידות הוא ענין הגחלים שמחממת ומאירה. ביאור האריכות בענין הגחלים דוקא: ב' ענינים נפעלים בעבודת האדם ע"י לימוד החסידות: 1) מה שמוכרח - "גחלים": חסידות מכניסה חיות (חמימות) בעבודה. אבל זה לא מספיק, כי יכול להיות גם חיי בהמה, שעבודת ה' תהי' מוגבלת לפי טבע כחות נפשו, "אשר לא עבדו". וזהו מה שחסידות גם מאירה - ע"י "רואה" האדם שעבודתו צ"ל היפך ולמע' מטבעו, "עובד אלקים", "בכל מאודך". וזה בא ע"י יגיעה - חפירה בעמקי האדמה. וכיון שזוהי "עבודה חדשה" צריכים את רבותינו נשיאינו ("מנהיג") שהם הכינו התוכניות וסדרי העבודה בזה. אבל לא מספיק מסירות הרצון ל"מנהיג" ולסמוך עליו לבד - את ההתחברות לרוח-חיים צ"ל כאו"א בעצמו! ובאותיות פשוטות: על כאו"א בעצמו לקבוע עתים בפועל ממש ללמוד חסידות (ונגלה) בעיון ולהתייגע בזה עד שהוא יבין את מה שלומד (ולא להסתפק בלימוד שטחי, ומה שלמד כל ימיו וכו'), ומכיון שלא שייך "הפסק" בחיים - בכל יום יום!ב' חלקים משיחת שמחת בית השואבה ה'תשכ"א ל"הנחה פרטית" או התרגום ללה"ק של השיחה: https://thedailysicha.com/?date=20-11-2023 Synopsis My father-in-law the Rebbe likened Chassidus to pearls found in the depths of the sea, and coals, which provide warmth and illumination, are found in the depths of the earth. The reason he specifically focused on explaining the analogy of coals: studying Chassidus has two effects: 1) like coals, Chassidus provides warmth, which is a sign of life. But that’s not enough, because one may be alive, but his life might be like that of an animal, meaning, he doesn’t go beyond his nature, in which case he is “one who serves Him not.” But Chassidus also provides illumination – enabling a person to see that he must go against and transcend his nature, to “serve G-d” and “with all your might.” And this comes through toil – digging in the depths of the earth. Since this is a new service, we need the Rebbe’im, the “overseers,” who prepare the plans for carrying out this service. But it’s not enough to submit one’s will to the “overseer” and rely only on him – because one needs his own connection to the life source! In simple terms: everyone must personally set fixed times to actually study Chassidus (and Nigleh), and toil in it until he feels he truly understands it etc.; he must not just learn it superficially, nor can he rely on his knowledge acquired throughout his life.
