התוכן א' הלימודים מנרות חנוכה הוא, שאע"פ שבהדלקת נר א' בלילה הראשון קיים המצוה בשלימות, הרי בבוא הלילה השני מוסיף ומדליק ב' נרות, ועד"ז בלילות שלאח"ז. ומזה הלימוד גם בנוגע לכל עניני תומ"צ, "נר מצוה ותורה אור", שמיום ליום יש לגדול ולהוסיף בזה. ועוד לימוד ממצות נר חנוכה, שגם לאחר קיומה בלילה הראשון דחנוכה, חוזרים ומקיימים אותה גם בלילה השני, ובלילה השלישי (באופן של "חזקה") וכו'. ועד"ז בכל מצוה, שגם לאחרי קיומה בפעם הראשונה חוזרים ומקיימים אותה בכל הזדמנות – "מצוה הבאה לידך אל תחמיצנה", ובפרט מצות הצדקה שיכולים וצריכים לקיימה ריבוי פעמים ביום. ויש לקשר זה עם מנהג ישראל ליתן "דמי חנוכה", שכשיהודי מקבל כסף ה"ה לכל לראש נותן ממנו לצדקה אע"פ שהי' יכול לקנות בזה "חיי נפשו", וכך גם מחנכים את הילדים. ויה"ר שתומ"י יוכלו לנצל את ה"דמי חנוכה" לנדבת ביהמ"ק השלישי.משיחת נר ג' דחנוכה ה'תנש"א ל"הנחה פרטית" או התרגום ללה"ק של השיחה: https://thedailysicha.com/?date=17-12-2025 Synopsis On Chanukah, although one already fulfilled the mitzvah of lighting Chanukah candles fully on the first night, nevertheless, when the second night arrives one adds and lights two candles, and continues adding every subsequent night. This serves as a lesson for all matters of Torah and mitzvos – “a lamp is a mitzvah and the Torah is light” – that one must constantly grow and add from day to day. Additionally, just as we light the Chanukah candles repeatedly, forming a chazakah, so too with every mitzvah: after fulfilling a mitzvah the first time, we do it again and again at every opportunity, and, “A mitzvah that comes to your hand, do not delay it.” This applies especially to the mitzvah of tzedakah, which can and should be fulfilled many times a day. This also relates to the Jewish custom of giving Chanukah gelt: when a Jew receives money, he first and foremost gives a portion of it to tzedakah (even though it is money he could have used to purchase “the life of his soul”), and this is how children should be educated.
