התוכן כ"ק מו"ח אדמו"ר סיפר: פעם בעת התוועדות אביו כ"ק אדמור (מוהרש"ב) נ"ע, נכחו חסידים בעלי צורה, ועל השולחן היתה מונחת "גריקענע קאַשע" (דייסת כוסמת), וא' המסובים אכל בינתיים ה"קאַשע" מתוך תענוג. ואמר לו כ"ק אדנ"ע: שכחתם שהנכם אוכלים "קאַשע"?!... וההסברה בזה: באותה התוועדות דובר בעניני אלקות עד שחסיד זה נתעורר מזה ברגש של תענוג מוחשי, ובהיותו במצב של "התפשטות התענוג", נמשך מזה התענוג באכילת ה"קאַשע". וההוראה: גם כאשר נמצאים בשלימות העבודה, כמו אותם חסידים שישבו בהתוועדות חסידים עם נשיא בישראל, צ"ל ענין של שמירה שהתענוג לא יתפשט ויומשך בתענוג גשמי, כמו תענוג באכילת "גריקענע קאַשע" כפשוטו, עאכו"כ שצריכה להיות שמירה וזהירות יתירה כאשר עניני המעלה הנ"ל חסרים, ואילו הענינים הקשורים עם עוה"ז הם בתקפם. ולאחרי שכ"ק אדנ"ע עצר את החסיד הנ"ל, ונמסר הדבר לדורותיו, יכול כאו"א להזכיר זאת לעצמו.א' השיחות דהתוועדות י"ט כסלו ה'תשח"י ל"הנחה פרטית" או התרגום ללה"ק של השיחה: https://thedailysicha.com/?date=19-11-2025 Synopsis My father-in-law the Rebbe related that once, during a 19 Kislev farbrengen with his father, when there was grikene kashe (buckwheat porridge) on the table (as customary on 19 Kislev), one of the chassidim – who was a person of stature – began eating the kashe with noticeable enjoyment. The Rebbe [Rashab] Nishmaso Eden said to him, “You’ve forgotten that you’re eating kashe...” The explanation is as follows: At that farbrengen the Rebbe had been discussing lofty matters of G‑dliness and kelos hanefesh, to the extent that this chassid was aroused to tangible feelings of delight. And in the midst of this expression of spiritual pleasure, the spiritual pleasure expanded and became clothed in the physical pleasure of eating the kashe. The lesson is that even when one has attained proper avodah (like the chassidim sitting at that farbrengen with a Nasi of the Jewish people), he must ensure that the spiritual pleasure does not descend into ordinary physical pleasure. And this is even more true when the spiritual state is not as lofty as it was back then, and worldly matters are in full force.
