התוכן בכל ענין בתורה יש את פירושו הפשוט ופירוש עמוק יותר. ולדוגמא בב' הדברות הראשונות של עשה"ד [כמ"ש בשישי דפ' יתרו, וברביעי דפ' ואתחנן]: "אנכי ה' אלקיך וגו'"‏ – ‏לא רק להאמין במציאות ה' ושהוציא בנ"י ממצרים וכו' כפירוש הפשוט, אלא גם בפירוש עמוק יותר: להאמין ש"אנכי ה' אלקיך"‏ – ‏כחך וחיותך‏ – ‏ה' הוא הנותן לאדם את הכחות, השכל והרגש וכל האפשרויות, להצליח בעניניו ע"י יגיעה וכו'. For example, the first two of the Aseres Hadibros (in revi’i of parashas Va’eschanan): (1) “I am Hashem your G-d…” doesn’t only mean that one must believe in the existence of Hashem and that He took the Jewish people out of Egypt, etc. but also that one must believe that “I am Hashem your G-d” – “your strength and your life-force” – meaning that, while a person is obligated to put in his own effort, it is Hashem who gives him all his faculties, intellect, emotions, and the ability to succeed.
