התוכן שיעור היומי ברמב"ם ב"ספר המצוות" הוא מצות שעטנז ומצות פאה. א' הטעמים לאיסור שעטנז הוא: צמר הוא מבעל חי ופשתים הוא מצומח ואין לערבם. ובעבודת האדם: ישנו אופן עבודה לאלו שנמצאים בבחי' "צומח" (התחלת העבודה), וישנו אופן עבודה לאלו שנמצאים כבר בדרגא נעלית יותר ‏–‏ "חי" או "מדבר", ואין לערב בין ב' אופני עבודה אלו אלא כ"א צריך למלא את עבודתו בהתאם לדרגתו. ועד"ז בעבודת כ"א בעצמו: ישנם ענינים שאותם צריכים לקרב ולעשותם – "מצוות עשה", וישנם ענינים שמהם צריכים להתרחק ולא לעשותם – "מצוות לא-תעשה", ואין לערב ביניהם; איסור שעטנז נוהג גם בנקבות (ולא כאלו הטועים בזה), ואפי' בנוגע לקטנים, הרי משמע ממסקנת ה"מנחת חינוך" בביאור מצוה זו שהאיסור להלביש קטנים בשעטנז אינו רק מצד כללות ענין החינוך אלא גם מעיקר הדין-תורה של שעטנז!משיחת יום ג' פ' תצא, אדר"ח אלול ה'תשד"מ להילדים והילדות דמחנות קיץ שיחיו ל"הנחה פרטית" או התרגום ללה"ק של השיחה: https://thedailysicha.com/?date=18-08-2026 Synopsis Today’s Sefer HaMitzvos teaches us the mitzvos of shaatnez and peah. One of the reasons for the prohibition of shaatnez is that wool comes from a living animal, while linen comes from a plant, and they should not be mixed. In terms of a person’s Divine service: There is one mode of service for those on the level of plant life (the beginning of one’s spiritual service), and another for those who have already reached the level of animal life or human life. The prohibition of shaatnez teaches that they should not be mixed; rather, each person must fulfill his service in accordance with his own level. The same applies within a person’s own service: There are some things one must actively perform and draw himself to (the positive mitzvos) and some things from which one must refrain and distance himself (the negative mitzvos), and the two should not be mixed.
