התוכן בסיפור המרגלים שמשה שלח לתור את א"י מתעוררת השאלה – משה, בתור מנהיג אמיתי של בנ"י (ונולד לכך), ובפרט באותה תקופה, הכיר היטב את בנ"י, ואיך יתכן שלא יכיר ח"ו שאלו שנבחרו אינם מתאימים לשליחות זו?! רש"י מבאר ש"אותה שעה כשרים היו". אך לפי"ז מתעוררת השאלה מה גרם לכך שלאחרי ש"ויעלו ויתורו את הארץ" נבהלו והניאו את בנ"י מלילך לא"י?! והרי כבר ידעו לפנ"ז על הל"א מלכים שנמצאים בא"י וכו'? ויובן עפ"י מ"ש אדה"ז בלקו"ת שדוקא מצד היותם "אנשים כשרים" סברו שמוטב לישאר במדבר פרושים ומובדלים מהעולם ויוכלו ללמוד תורה ולקיים מצוות ללא הפרעות, ולא לילך לא"י ששם יצטרכו להתעסק בעניני העולם, חרישת שדות וניהול מסחר וכו' (חטאם הי' שלא היו חדורים בהכרה שאם הקב"ה מצווה לילך לא"י – צריך ללכת!) ואף שמ"מ היו מוכנים לכך, שלכן בחר בהם משה – אבל כאשר באו לא"י וראו במו עיניהם את הנסיונות הצפויים ו"אינה דומה שמיעה לראי׳" – נרתעו [המשך יבוא].משיחת יום א' פ' שלח, כ"ף סיון ה'תשכ"ה, להתלמידות המסיימות ד"בית רבקה" ולהמדריכות דמחנה "אמונה" תחיינה ל"הנחה פרטית" או התרגום ללה"ק של השיחה: https://thedailysicha.com/?date=15-06-2025 Synopsis The question arises in the story of the spies: As a true leader of the Jewish people (who was born to lead them, and who by this time had already lived with them and led them in practice), Moshe surely knew the characteristics and thought processes of the Jewish people; how then is it possible that he failed to recognize, G-d forbid, that the spies he chose were unfit for the mission? While Rashi explains that “at that time, they were virtuous,” that raises another question: After they “went up and scouted the land,” what caused them to become frightened, and to dissuade the people from going to Eretz Yisroel? After all, they already knew about the thirty-one kings etc. beforehand?
