התוכן הוראה ממ"ש בהתחלת פ' שופטים "שופטים ושוטרים תתן לך בכל שעריך": ענינו של השופט הוא לתת הוראות כיצד לנהוג והשופטים ממנים שוטרים להשגיח ע"ז. וכ"ה בנוגע לכל בית יהודי פרטי, שכל ראש משפחה הוא בדוגמת ה"שופט וה"שוטר" ביחס להנהגת בני-ביתו. ועד"ז בנוגע לכל ילד יהודי, שהוא צ"ל ה"שופט" וה"שוטר" בנוגע להנהגתו הפרטית ובנוגע לחדרו הפרטי שבו נמצאים הספרים שלו וקופת צדקה, שהכל יהי' מונח בסדר הראוי, כמו שצ"ל בימי החול וכמו שצ"ל ביום השבת. וצריכים להעמיד "שופטים" ו"שוטרים" "בכל שעריך"‏ – ‏העינים, אזנים, הפה וכיו"ב‏ – ‏שדרכם יכנסו ויצאו רק ענינים הקשורים עם תומ"צ. וכ"ז מחזק את הקשר לאבינו שבשמים. וכך נעשה חדרו הפרטי של כל ילד יהודי "מקדש מעט", שהקב"ה יהי' בו ה"שכן", ועוד יותר‏ – ‏הבעה"ב, ומובן ש"שכן" ו"בעה"ב" כזה מביא אתו מתנות טובות לאלו הנמצאים בחדר... Similarly, every Jewish child must be a “judge” and “officer” over his own behavior and over his own room, making sure everything in his room, his sefarim and his tzedakah box etc., are arranged in an orderly fashion (for example, the tzedakah box should be high up on Shabbos so he doesn’t touch it). And these “judges” and “officers” must be set up in “all your gates” – the “gates” being the eyes, ears, and mouth – making sure that only matters of Torah and mitzvos enter and exit through them.
