התוכן ידוע המנהג לתלות בבית היולדת פתקאות עם שמות ופסוקים, "שיר המעלות" וכיו"ב, כסגולה לשמירה וכו' ליולדת ולולד, הן בנוגע ללידה עצמה והן בנוגע לימים שלאחרי הלידה לאיוש"ט. בימינו אלו יולדות הנשים בבית הרפואה ולא שמים לב להקפיד ע"ז כ"א לאחרי שחוזרים מבית הרפואה, ולכן מצוה לעורר בכ"מ שגם כאשר היולדת והולד נמצאים בבית הרפואה יש להשתדל לתלות בחדר היולדת ו(ליד) הולד "שיר המעלות" וכיו"ב. בודאי שבהשתדלות קלה יקבלו רשיון ע"ז מהנהלת בית הרפואה, כי גם עפ"י חכמת הרפואה קשורה הצלחת הטיפול הרפואי במצב הנפשי של החולה, וכשיסבירו שפתקאות אלו התלויות בחדר היולדת מרגיעות אותה – בודאי יסכימו בשמחה; ע"ד הזהירות שהבעל לא יהי' בחדר הלידה וכו' בעת הלידה. משיחת י"ט כסלו ה'תשמ"ז ל"הנחה פרטית" או התרגום ללה"ק של השיחה: https://thedailysicha.com/?date=07-04-2024 Synopsis It is customary to hang Shir Hamaalos’s and the like as a segulah for the protection of the mother and newborn, during birth and afterwards.
