התוכן בזהר פ' כי תשא מובא שכאשר התנאים וכו' שמעו איזה דבר פלא, עשו "קשר" כדי שלא לשכחו. הטעם ש"קשר" מועיל לא לשכוח יובן עפ"י המבואר ששרש ענין השכחה הוא מקליפת נוגה וכו', ולכן כדי לבטלה צריך כח "כפול ומכופל" כענין ה"קשר" (כמבואר באגה"ק). ומזה נשתלשל שגם בגשמיות עושים "קשר" כדי לבטל ענין השכחה. והטעם ש"קשר" מועיל גם לזכרון של גוי, ע"ד שמצינו שגם "שר המשקים" הי' "קושר קשרים" כדי שלא ישכח את יוסף, הוא, כי אם הענין של "קושר קשרים" הי' מועיל רק לבנ"י ולא לאוה"ע והיו רואים בגלוי את ה"אתה בחרתנו", הי' מתמעט עי"ז ה"בחירה" של בנ"י בעניני יהדות (וזהו גם הטעם שהגוף של בנ"י "נדמה" לזה של אוה"ע); ענין הזכרון ושלילת השכחה נוגע במיוחד ביהדות: כי כאשר האדם זוכר שכל רגע ורגע ה"ה מתהווה מחדש מאין ואפס המוחלט ע"י עצמו"ה ית' - לא שייך שיעשה נגד רצונו ית'! ובביאת משיח צדקנו בקרוב ממש יראו זאת בגלוי, ללא צורך ב"זכרון", ש"פי ה' דיבר" ומהוה לעיניו ממש את כל המציאות כולה! ג' חלקים מהתוועדות מוצש"ק פ' כי תשא, פ' פרה ה'תשל"ט ל"הנחה פרטית" או התרגום ללה"ק של השיחה: https://thedailysicha.com/?date=01-03-2024 Synopsis The Zohar on Parashas Ki Sisa states that when the Tanna’im, etc., heard something wondrous, they would tie knots in order not to forget it. The reason a knot prevents forgetting is because forgetting comes from kelipas nogah etc., and therefore, a “doubled and redoubled” force is needed to nullify, similar to a knot (as explained in Iggeres HaKodesh). This then is expressed physically, in that a knot helps to prevent forgetting. And the reason that a knot helps even a non-Jew remember (as we find regarding Pharaoh’s chief cupbearer, who “tied knots” so as not to forget about Yosef), is because if tying knots was effective only for the Jewish people and not for the nations of the world, that would diminish the free choice of the Jewish people with regards to Yiddishkeit (which is also the reason why the Jewish body resembles that of nations of the world). Remembering, and not forgetting, are particularly important for Yiddishkeit: when a person remembers that he is newly created every moment from absolute nothingness by Hashem Himself – it’s impossible for him to transgress Hashem’s will.
