התוכן גם תשובה צ"ל מתוך שמחה. וכמדובר בארוכה בשמחת תורה [ה'תשכ"ט] שאפי' תשובה תתאה, שענינה "עזיבת החטא בלבד", צ"ל מתוך "שמחה של מצוה". וכמ"ש ברמב"ם בענין "שמחה של מצוה", שההתבוננות בתוכן של המצוה ומי ציווה על המצוות – תביא לשמחה גדולה ביותר עד ש"מפזר ומכרכר בכל עוז"! ואם זה כך בכל מצוה, עאכו"כ שזהו כך בנוגע למצוה התשובה. מצד תוכן של המצוה: ברגע א' יכול להשתנות מלהיות רשע גמור להיות צדיק גמור! מצד מצווה המצוה: ממה"מ הקב"ה יורד לאיש שהוא במצב של מורד ר"ל בממה"מ הקב"ה, ואומר לו: אם רק תעשה תשובה – תהי' מרוצה וחביב כמו קודם החטא! וא"כ עאכו"כ שזה צ"ל בשמחה גדולה ביותר! וזה אפי' בתשובה תתאה, דרגא הכי תחתונה בתשובה, ועאכו"כ בנוגע לתשובה עילאה, שבנוגע לתשובה זו נאמר "במקום שבעלי תשובה עומדים אין צדיקים גמורים יכולים לעמוד שם". וע"י התשובה נפעל הסליחה והכפרה "בלי שום ספק וספיק ספיקא" וכו'משיחת י"ט כסלו ה'תשכ"ט ל"הנחה פרטית" או התרגום ללה"ק של השיחה: https://thedailysicha.com/?date=26-09-2025 Synopsis Teshuvah, too, must be done with joy. As discussed at length on Simchas Torah [5729], even teshuvah tata’ah (lower-teshuvah) – which is merely “abandoning the sin” etc. – must be done with the joy of a mitzvah. As the Rambam writes regarding the joy of a mitzvah: when one contemplates the meaning of the mitzvah and Who commanded the mitzvos, he feels the greatest joy, to the point of “leaping and dancing with all his might.” If this is true of every mitzvah, how much more so when it comes to the mitzvah of teshuvah: In terms of the meaning of mitzvah, teshuvah transforms a person from a complete rasha to a complete tzaddik. And in terms of Who commanded the mitzvah – the King of kings, the Holy One, blessed be He Himself, descends to a person who has rebelled against the King, and tells him, if you will only do teshuvah, you will become desired and cherished as you were before the sin. If so, how much more so must teshuvah be done with the greatest joy.
