התוכן ענינו של ח"י אלול – יום ההולדת של הבעש"ט ושל אדמו"ר הזקן. וידוע הפירוש במ"ש "והימים האלה נזכרים ונעשים", שבכל שנה ושנה, כאשר הם "נזכרים", אזי "ונעשים" עוה"פ כל ההמשכות וההשפעות שהיו באותו יום. הטעם שלא מצינו אצל רבותינו נשיאינו שהרעישו בענין זה – ע"ד שמצינו בנוגע לימי חודש אלול בכלל, ש"הם ימות החול ואינם יו"ט", ונתבאר בזה המשל ל"מלך בשדה", שדוקא בהמעמד ומצב כזה אז "רשאין כל מי שרוצה לצאת ולהקביל פניו וכו'", ועד"ז בנוגע לחודש אלול, שהם ימות החול, שדוקא אז יכולים לפעול יותר מכאשר המלך "נמצא בעיר"; ידוע הפתגם ש"ח"י אלול מכניס חיות בכל העבודות של חודש אלול", הנרמזים בכל הר"ת של "אלול" – ג' קוין דתורה עבודה וגמ"ח, תשובה וגאולה. ויה"ר שכך יהי' כפשוטו – אור וחיות בכל ענינים הרוחניים והגשמייים בבני חיי ומזוני, ועד לגאולה כפשוטה.ב' חלקים משיחת ח"י אלול ה'תשכ"ב ל"הנחה פרטית" או התרגום ללה"ק של השיחה: https://thedailysicha.com/?date=20-09-2024 Synopsis Chai Elul is the birthday of the Baal Shem Tov and the Alter Rebbe. As explained on the verse, “and these days are remembered and observed,” every year when this is “remembered,” the spiritual energy and effects that occurred on that day the first time occur again on that day every year. As for the fact that we don’t find that the Rebbe’im publicly observed Chai Elul as a Yom Tov – this is similar to fact that the days of the month of Elul “are ordinary weekdays and not Yom Tov” (despite being a time when the Thirteen Attributes of Mercy are revealed etc.). As the Alter Rebbe explains, it is like the parable of the “king in the field,” where it is specifically “in the field” that “whoever wishes is permitted to go out and greet him etc.”: although they are ordinary weekdays, it is specifically then that one can accomplish even more than when the king is “in the city.” “Chai Elul brings life into all the services of the month of Elul” – the services which are alluded to in the acronyms of “Elul” – including Torah, Avodah and Gemilus Chassadim, as well as Teshuvah and Geulah.
