התוכן השמחה של "שמחת בית השואבה" קשורה עם שאיבת המים למצוות ניסוך המים‏ – ‏שמחה של מצוה. ולכן לא מודים הצדוקים ב"ניסוך המים" והשמחה שבזה, כי הם טוענים שאת התורה צריך להבין עם שכל, ולכן הם מודים רק ב"נסוך היין" (שיש בו תענוג) ושמחה הבאה בסיבה שכלית, כמו שמחת שבת ויו"ט שהם זכר ליציאת מצרים, אבל לא במצות "ניסוך המים" (שאין בו תענוג), והשמחה שבזה, שאינה מצד סיבה שכלית אלא מצד שזוהי מצוותו של הקב"ה. וכיון ששמחה זו לא באה מצד השכל אלא מצד מצוותו של הקב"ה, ה"ז שמחה בלתי מוגבלת, ודוקא על שמחה זו נאמר "מי שלא ראה שמחה זו לא ראה שמחה מימיו", כי רק שמחה זו מתאמתת אצלו כענין שרואים משא"כ בשמחה שמצד השכל יכול להיות שינויים‏.‏ג' חלקים משיחה דהתוועדות שמחת בית השואבה ה'תשכ"ב ל"הנחה פרטית" או התרגום ללה"ק של השיחה: https://thedailysicha.com/?date=20-10-2024 Synopsis The joy of Simchas Beis Hashoevah was associated with drawing the water for the water libation on the mizbeach – the joy of a mitzvah. The Tzedukim, who argued that the Torah must be understood with intellect, agreed only to the libation of wine (which has an enjoyable taste), and joy resulting from understanding, like the joy of Shabbos and Yom Tov which are logical because they commemorate the exodus from Egypt. But they did not agree to the libation of water (which has no inherent pleasure or taste) or joy resulting solely from Hashem’s command. But it is precisely the joy that comes due to Hashem’s command that is unlimited, because it’s not restricted by the bounds of intellect.
