Yvonne Senat Jones- How She Went From A Recurring Guest Star To A Series Regular Role In Tyler Perry's New Spinoff Show, "Ruthless"

YVONNE SENAT JONES left a great impression on Director Tyler Perry with her performance as recurring guest star Tally in The Oval.  So much so, that when he created a spinoff series, he made her  a series regular.  Yvonne is currently appearing as Tally in Tyler Perry’s Ruthless on BET Plus. Her last project, The Bobby Brown Story won the 2019 NAACP Image Award for Outstanding TV Movie this April. Yvonne played the Supporting Role of "Robyn Crawford", best friend to Whitney Houston.  Emmy-Winning Casting Director Robi Reed stated, "Yvonne embodied the role of Robyn!"  ​Yvonne also appeared on FOX this Spring as "Osaia", an Amazonian Alien, in "THE ORVILLE" opposite Seth MacFarlane.  She has also appeared in Code Black opposite Boris Kodjoe and S.W.A.T. opposite Shemar Moore. ​ Yvonne has been directed by Academy Award Winning Director Dianne Houston in the Lifetime film "Searching for Neverland: The Michael Jackson Story" and her short film "Iman & The Light Warriors" was a selection in the HollyShorts Film Festival, DC Shorts Film Festival and the American Black Film Festival. She holds an MFA in Acting from the University of South Carolina. Yvonne Senat Jones is Bolivian-Haitian and speaks Spanish fluently. When she's not acting, she teaches Theatre Arts at Discovery Charter Prep Highschool. She does this through the nonprofit group City Hearts; an organization which brings the arts to schools that wouldn't normally be able to fund an arts program.
