Zack Polanski Eyes Historic Green Win | Belfast News

Zack Polanski, Green Party leader, is officially running to be the first Green MP from London in the Holborn and St Pancras by-election — a seat vacated when Sir Keir Starmer stepped down. Facing Labour’s Sagal Abdi-Wali, Polanski’s campaign centers on rent control and water nationalization, tapping into growing voter discontent and recent local Green gains. With Labour holding the seat since 1983 and national polls showing a dip since Burnham took office, this race could signal a major political shift — especially as Burnham himself visits to rally support. The Greens, who narrowly missed top spot in the last general election, are now seen as Labour’s biggest challenger — and this vote may reveal whether voters are ready to break from the party that’s dominated this area for decades.
