Zaidyn Rico to represent USA, Floresville, in Portugal

Incoming Floresville High School sophomore Zaidyn Rico has earned a spot on Team USA for the 2026 Portugal Basketball Festival this summer. Zaidyn, who moved to Floresville in fourth grade from Lubbock, has been playing basketball since he was 4 years old, first learning from his father, Jerry Rico, and eventually playing for the Floresville High School freshman Tigers, where he ended his freshman year with 277 points. He also plays in the Floresville High School junior varsity Summer League and the Houston Hoops AAU basketball program.
