At the same time, Russia continues daily strikes against Ukraine while demanding calm and security around its own symbolic events. The contradiction is becoming harder to ignore. Moscow wants the image of total control, but growing security measures, public anxiety, and heightened rhetoric suggest real concern inside the Kremlin ahead of May 9. Meanwhile, Ukraine continues expanding its domestic long-range strike capabilities, hitting Russian infrastructure despite Western missile restrictions.
