Zephyr Energy CEO says $15m Atlas deal strengthens Paradox strategy

Zephyr Energy PLC (AIM:ZPHR, OTCQB:ZPHRF, FRA:VD5N) CEO Colin Harrington joined Proactive's Stephen Gunnion to discuss a letter of intent with Atlas Commodity Markets for up to US$15 million in pre-production financing for the Paradox Project - a moment he described as "seminal" for the company. The proposed prepaid commodity purchase agreement would fund infrastructure, well workovers and future drilling without new equity issuance or any reduction in Zephyr's working interest, with repayment coming from future production. Atlas has marketed Paradox production since 2021, giving it deep familiarity with the project's profile and an established gas processing and marketing network. Harrington said the deal gives Zephyr options: "This allows us to go independently and allows us a backstop, which means that we can choose whether to develop this on our own or with a larger partner, and we'll do whatever is best for shareholder value." The financing complements the ongoing farm-out process rather than replacing it, while the non-operated portfolio continues to perform strongly with last year's acquisition already having paid for itself.
