China is travellers' paradise. Various kinds of landscapes and the exotic cultures of ethnic minorities making the trip in China never short of wonders and excitement. Baktash Kargar loves travelling. The afghan young man came to study in China in 2006. Though he is still a student, he has already travelled to more than 30 cities in China. Baktash Kargar is now a post graduate student in Beijing Language University. Having stayed in Beijing for 8 years, he misses his home in Kabul occasionally. He could never forget the pain and suffering the war in Afghanistan brought to him when he was young. He regrets that most of his fellow countrymen are still struggling in poverty, uneducated. Talking to Voices From Other Lands, Baktash says the Chinese people are so hospitable and friendly that he can always make some friends while traveling. Baktash speaks good Chinese, when he traveled to the south of China, people joked that he spoke better Putonghua. Baktash Kargar cherishes the chance to learn and live here in China. He tries to be nice to everyone, and volunteers whenever he finds the chance to. Though living far away from home, he hopes he could do more for his country, maybe be a diplomat in the future.
