【专题】中国的世界级红酒

from NEWSPlus Radio · host NEWSPlus Radio

The latest news shows that China has become the world's biggest market for red wine consumption for the first time, overtaking France and Italy. That is indeed a piece of good news for wine businessmen like Damien Shee who predicted three years ago the business would go up here in China. Shee, however, acknowledged that the company's sales last year was flat despite years of increase, and he was still quite optimistic about selling and especially making wines here in China. Passionate about the wine and the quality, he says China has and will present more world class wines. Damien Shee is now the general manager of Torres north China. Torres is one of the biggest wholesale wine dealers in China. Being in China for 8 years, the Singaporean speaks perfect Putonghua. He says he is ready to carry on the Torres values, and explore more in the world's biggest wine market.
