Ziaire Williams Leaves Brooklyn Nets
from Sports News Today | 2 Min News | The Daily News Now!
Ziaire Williams’ Brooklyn Nets tenure is over after they declined his team option, making him an unrestricted free agent. Despite a strong finish to last season — averaging 13 points and shooting 49% from three — his overall three-point mark remains average. With new additions like Julius Randle and Joshua Jefferson, Williams’ role has been overtaken. The Nets now pivot to Randle and Michael Porter Jr. as their primary wings, while versatile bench players like Danny Wolf, Jefferson, and Tyler Bilodeau — the latter hitting 46% from deep — will fill key minutes. Williams’ shooting ability remains a valuable asset, but his future in the league hinges on landing a team that values his perimeter game.
