Zimbabwe's former liberation war fighters say they have ended their support for president Robert Mugabe citing maladministration and misrule, as the citizens suffer. It's an unprecedented move from the country's largest war veterans group which names president Mugabe as its patron. The group met on Thursday and resolved not support president Mugabe at the 2018 polls. They accused the veteran leader of dictatorial tendencies and of sidelining the war veterans in favour of the youth league. War veterans say since 1980 Zanu PF has failed to address their welfare needs. Shingai Nyoka reports from Harare
