Send us Fan MailZION POY... 17 year old Noosa filmmaker Zion Poy comes into the SURF TOWN studio to talk about his film that has been accepted into this year's Noosa International Surf Film Festival. Titled, "WHERE THE GIRLS ARE," it's the story of Lynette Clemitson who started the all female boardriders club called the Kurranulla Wahines Boardriding Club in 1966 at Wanda Beach in Sydney's south. Now into her mature years Lynette has had a lifetime of surfing that continues to this day, including a win in the over 70's division of the 2022 Queensland Surf Festival. She is also a keen archivist of early woman's longboarding. Zion's film features in the Gromshorts category of the film festival. He also chats about his filmmaking, his influences and aspirations to become a successful filmmaker.
