Zion Rose Crowned Royals' 6th Overall Pick | Kansas City Royals News

Zion Rose, Louisville’s standout outfielder, just became the highest-drafted player from the school since Henry Davis in 2021, going sixth overall to the Kansas City Royals in the 2026 MLB Draft. Despite missing a month with an ankle injury, Rose exploded back with a .417 batting average, six homers, and 47 RBIs in just 36 games, plus 24 stolen bases. His dominance continued from freshman year (.380, Freshman All-American) to sophomore season (13 homers, 67 RBIs). With a projected slot value over $7.7 million, Rose’s college career ends with 24 homers and 65 steals — a future MLB star ready to shine.
