Zodiac sign dreams: How a scary astrological representation can be the subconscious's way of assuaging one's fears

from "Re:awakening ... with Chris Mann & Yvonne Ryba"

Dream interpreter and spiritual life coach Yvonne Ryba revisits a subconscious stirring from a short but potent dream she had in 1982 about a creepy crab crawling out of her couch while her then-husband, Temp, slept on the very same sofa. When is a crab just a crab -- or a scorpion just a scorpion -- or a bull just a bull? Well, in this instance, the crab happened to represent Temp's sign of the Zodiac, Cancer. Yvonne (a Scorpio, by the way) explains that this scary crustacean (an Alaskan King Crab in the dream) symbolized Temp's role as "king of the house." How he handled the crab in the dream showed Yvonne that he was in control of their home-related circumstances -- which at the time included their tentative plans to move from Britain to seize "the American Dream" in the United States. Yvonne's seemingly nightmarish dream, she says, was actually her subconscious's way of assuaging her fears. For more of Yvonne's dream interpretation -- including her previous analyses of dreams involving scorpions and bulls as prescient signs of the Zodiac -- check out season one of "re:awakening" in Chris's 2011-2013 podcast "Reimagine That!"
