ZombieCon Vol. 1: Can Cosplayers Survive a City Full of Zombies?

ZombieCon Vol. 1 is a wild indie zombie horror-comedy from director Kyle Valle, where a group of cosplaying friends accidentally unleash a zombie outbreak in Los Angeles after one of them makes a wish to eliminate every toxic jerk in the city. Featuring SNL's Punkie Johnson as the heart of the group, the film blends geek culture, anime cosplay, and gory DIY effects with sharp commentary on fandom, bullying, and convention life. In this review, we dig into the film's strengths, flaws, and cult-classic potential for horror fans, cosplay lovers, and indie film nerds alike.
