Zondo Commission on State Capture

Public enterprises minister Pravin Gordhan has appeared before the state capture inquiry. Minister Gordhan as a politician and professor became the centre of attention where in his opening statement he detailed an account of his history in the ANC and then later, he provided the first public details of how close he and Zuma had been as comrades. By the time he concluded his submissions, he was accused of unduly benefiting as a minister from business deals, including through his daughter’s business interests, an allegation he was quick to dispel.
