These were the words spoken by Jeff Norman the night before the 22nd annual Kennett Square brewfest describing the prize beer tap to be presented to the victor of the connoisseur hour before the fest. The coveted, artisanally crafted mushroom log tap celebrates Kennett Square’s claim to fame as the Mushroom Capital of the World, producing half the United State’s mushroom crop every year. But there is more to this sleepy Pennsylvania town than the manure fields that meet the eye, and the nose. Every year breweries from across the Eastern seaboard come to show their wares and celebrate the art of brewing the true nectar of the gods.. Now, after the conclusion of the festival that would give Caiden Calien himself a hangover, Griff and myself are sitting down with the leader of this fest himself to taste beers, talk about the fest, and answer some listener questions.
