Zoo Penguins Miss People

I really hope we can get rid of COVID soon! I really want my friends to come to Taiwan and visit me! 很希望疫情快點結束，我希望我的朋友來台灣找我玩！ But… it's not only you and me who miss visitors. Some penguins do, too! 有些企鵝也很想念遊客。 Ha… no, not penguins in the South Pole… they are just fine there by themselves. I'm talking about penguins at a zoo in Thailand. 不是南極的企鵝，而是泰國動物園裡面的企鵝。 Last year the zoo was closed because of COVID. And the penguins at the zoo missed seeing people! 這座動物園去年因為疫情關閉了，動物園裡面的企鵝都很想念遊客。 The zookeepers at the zoo in Thailand say when the zoo was closed because of COVID… every day… the penguins woke up and looked for people. 動物園的管理員說，園區關閉後，企鵝每天醒來都會到處找遊客。 When the penguins didn't see anyone… they walked around… looking and looking… and they seemed lonely. 當牠們發現都沒人時，就會走來走去，看起來很寂寞。 Aww… that's so cute. The penguins at the zoo wanted people to visit them. And, good news! The zoo in Thailand is open again! Now, every day… people come and visit the penguins. The zookeeper's say the penguins seem much happier! 好消息是，動物園重新開放，人們回來後，這些企鵝看起來開心多了。 Let's hope the whole world can say goodbye to COVID this year… maybe next year we can all go traveling and see our friends!
